  58. HOW TO USE the desktop patterns:
  59. Go to your control panels, open DESKTOP PATTERNS, then
  60. just drag and drop these patterns into the desktop patterns window,
  61. then click  the "set desktop pattern" button to get the pattern
  62.  on your computer screen.

  64. Or 
  65. Go to your control panels, 
  66. open DESKTOP PATTERNS, then 
  67. double click on one of my desktop 
  68. patterns to open the clipboard, copy it,
  69. then paste it into the open DESKTOP 
  70. PATTERNS control panel window.

  73. NOTE: Sometimes the Desktop Patterns 
  74. file gives an "out of memory"
  75. message. To remedy:
  76. 1. Open  the Control Panels folder 
  77. in your hard disc's System folder. 
  78. 2. Locate and Click on the Desktop Patterns 
  79. file in the Control Pannel, 
  80. then click on it again holding the Command+I keys.  
  81. 3. Go into the "Memory Requirements" area 
  82. and add some more memory in the 
  83. "Preferred Size" block ....say 50 to 100 k more.

  85. The more desk top patterns one has, the memory 
  86. the Desktop Patterns application needs!

  92. What program(s) do I use to make these Desktop Patterns?
  93. Mainly Adobe Photoshop 4.01.  I scan in photos of paintings 
  94. or use illustrations I have done and then fool around with them
  95. until the desktop pattern looks okay to me.

  98. NO, they belong to me--- I am just letting you use
  99. the Desktop Patterns to decorate your computer.
